Me: I thought I told you not to throw the frisbee in the house?
Michael: I didn’t.
Me: Then what was that noise?
Michael: I dropped it.
Me: You know, God saw what you did.
Michael: Yeah, but you didn’t.
Dear Sister,
It is SO difficult to discipline my children when I’d rather laugh in amazement or consternation (or both)!
Instead, I hold onto these moments, treasure them in memory, and after the kids finally go to bed at the end of a long day, permit myself the guilty pleasure of finding the humor in even the most defiant behavior!
Perspective, it’s a good thing.
